
HTC One is the latest smartphone launched by HTC with a lot of exciting features. HTC One has took the name of the Best android 4.2 jellybean smartphone of the year 2013. If you are having an android smartphone one thing which you would like to do the most is root it so that you can install third party apps and install custom ROM’s and enjoy the maximum performance of your device. Today we are going to tell you the procedure to root your HTC One.
For the process of rooting firstly you need have a developers account here http://www.htcdev.com/ to download rooting tool. Moreover you need HTC Sync which will install all the required drivers to your PC. When you will create your developers account you will get Fastboot and some other files which will be required for rooting.

Prerequisites
- Take the backup of important data including SMS, Call Logs before starting with the process.
- Plug-in the charger and charge your Android’s battery up to 70 percent mark at least.
- Enable USB Debugging Mode on your HTC One by Navigate to Settings > Development > USB Debugging.
Steps to Root HTC One
The very first phase of rooting of your HTC One is to unlock the bootloader. HTC has developed an official tool which helps you in unlocking the booloader of your HTC smartphone. For this you need to visit the HTC DEV website http://www.htcdev.com/bootloader/.
Follow the step by step instruction by selecting your device. For going into the bootloading mode turn off your device and press Volume Down + Power button at the same time.
Now you need to navigate to the fastboot mode. For navigation use Volume Up and Down Keys and for selection press the Power button. When you are entered into the fastboot menu connect your HTC one with your computer.
Now you have to go to the folder in your PC where you have ADB files and all the Fastboot files. Open the command prompt from your PC and then give the query fastboot devicesand press enter and you will see your HTC One with a unique ID.
Now you have to give one more query fastbootoemget_identifier_token. After pressing Enter you will see a big block of code. Copy this code as you will need this code in the HTC DEV site. Enter the code and HTC will send you an unlock code for your device.
Your device will still remain in Fastboot mode. Type fastboot flash unlocktokenUnlock_code.bin in the command prompt. Now your device has been unlocked. Now you have to reboot your device and transfer Superuser in SD card.
Now you have to download the TWRP Recovery from here http://teamw.in/project/twrp2. Put the recovery in the same folder where you are having the ADB and Fastboot files.
Now you have to put your device again in Fastboot mode. After putting it in Fastboot mode open the command prompt once again and enter this syntax fastboot flash recovery twrp.img
Power off your device and bring it into bootloader mode by holding the Power and Volume Down Button and select for recovery option and wait for the device to load.
Now, install the Superuser.zip file. Once you have flashed the superuser.zip file your HTC One is rooted.
