Step to update Samsung Galaxy Y GT-5360 to Android 4.4 KitKat CM based Custom ROM:
Download the above mentioned custom ROM Zip file to your computer or laptop and connect SGY GT-5360 to pc or laptop using Wi-Fi or USB cable driver and transfer zip file to root of your mobile SD card
Switch OFF your Samsung Galaxy Y GT-5360 smartphone and Enter CWM Recovery mode by pressing and hold “Volume up, Home and Power” buttons together and do full Wipe cache partion/Dalvik Cache
Note: In Recovery Menu, use Volume Up or Down button for navigation
Choose “Apply update from SD card and choose CWM > Mount and Storage and select first four files”.
Then “choose from SDcard” or “install ZIP from SD card” and install or flash CyanogenMod.zip file from SdCard and proceed to installation step.
WARNING: This flash will erase all your data and the contents of your internal sd card.
Press Power button and select “Advance” and then “Reboot Recovery” to go back to last screen and select “format/data”, “format/cache”, “format/system” from “Mount and Storage” option to format.
Now select “++back++” to main screen and select “Install ZIP from SD card” and then choose ZIP file “Android 4.4 KitKat ROM” then install.
After ZIP file got installed DO A DATA WIPE / FACTORY RESET (otherwise your device will be stuck at boot).
Wait for 3 to 4 minutes and go to main menu and select ‘reboot system now’.
That’s it your Samsung Galaxy Y GT-5360 successfully installed with Android V4.4 kitkat based custom ROM.
Note: This ROM only for SGY GT-5360 (Single SIM version) not for other Galaxy Y devices like GALAXY y duos S6102 and Galaxy Y plus.
