In Windows PC or laptop find the downloaded ‘ADB and Fastboot’ zip folder and unzip the same then press ‘Shift key’ and right click together and you may see the option ‘Open command window here’ in mouse right click to open CMD in root folder.

In the CMD window just type the following commend: fastboot oem get_unlock_data and press enter

The result return string that will be used to retrieve your unlock key

Write down or copy (right-click in CMD and ‘Mark’ option) the all unlock key displaying in CMD window in notepad. Note: Copy all the numbers from the string without white spaces or words like bootloader.

Now time to REQUEST UNLOCK KEY from Motorola official site by using your Google account or Motorola ID to sign in. After successful log in scroll down and in the step 6 textbox paste the copied string and then click on ‘Can my device be unlocked?’ then go with “REQUEST UNLOCK KEY” button will appear at the bottom of page.

Finally Press I Agree button to get your unlock key via email with your Unlock Key at the email address you used to log in there.

After receiving the 20-character key Moto E Unlock Key that Motorola sent to email connect your device in fastboot mode then connect to your PC or laptop as shown in early steps

In CMD window type: fastboot devices (Make sure you are in adb and fastboot folder location and your device is connected)

Finally type the following commend in CMD:  fastboot oem unlock UNIQUE_KEY

(‘UNIQUE_KEY’ is the unlock code that you got via email)

Then what, hit enter and wait until unlocking process ends and after successful steps you may see ‘Bootloader Unlocked’ warning on your Moto E screen.
